In the clip below, Sarah witnesses one dog having jail love with another dog. Here at the Sarah Silverman Program, we want to set the record straight. Not only was the bitch in question a stuffed animal, but it was completely consensual. No animals were raped in the filming of this animal rape scene.

As production for "Joan of Arf" drew closer, we were increasingly anxious about whether or not Doug would lick his ass on cue. If Doug, an aging dog with no training, failed to lick his ass with the cameras rolling, we would be out hundreds of thousands of dollars.

Our canny director, Rob Schrab, conducted a preliminary test. While we were shooting in the church for "Bored of the Rings" (the "Abortion episode"), he had Sarah apply some peanut butter to Doug's underside. We then learned that the issue wouldn't be whether Doug would lick his ass, but how we were going to stop him from licking his ass and come up for air.

The lesson: you can teach an old dog new licks.
